What's in their mind?
Till now, I've been in this screw and barrel business for six full years.
During these years, I've worked with different people in different countries. It's my great luck and even surprising to know there ARE western people who are working HARD, AND they WORK HARD in their seventies! There is no sign for retiring!
Per my knowledge, their life is great, they like enjoying life more than work. How does that happen? Has anything changed as time goes on?
They told me that machine business has long history, many people are working in this field and fall in love with it. They don't want to go without it.
When time is up for retiring, they retire. Interestingly, some come back!!!---That's the magic of WORK? Or MACHINES? or TEAM?
We have no way to know. Certainly we're very happy to have them back, work together with us again:)
When people are working together for 10 years,
we know the working style of each other,
we have the unspoken understanding of each other,
we know how much trust we can place on each other,
we know how hard they will work things out when a problem comes up,
we are partners, we're a team!
How is the age structure in your company? What groups are playing main roles? What's your plan to grow new comers to life-long dedicated professional experts?
Be free to share with us. We believe every person has a big chance to GROW BETTER!
